Shogacha is a Japanese ginger root tea. It has a strong aroma and a naturally bold, spicy earthiness that warms the body.
Shogacha brews a warm, golden amber hue. Naturally caffeine-free, perfect for any time of day.
Japanese shogacha ginger tea brews full-bodied and robust, with an intense ginger kick and a clean, lingering finish.
Enjoy hot or iced. Add lemon or honey for a classic touch. For a refreshing, caffeine-free iced tea, brew hot and pour over ice.
Step 1 | Heat fresh, filtered water until boiled at 212°F (100°C). Step 2 | Pour water over 2 teaspoons of ginger tea per 8oz cup. Step 3 | Steep for 5 minutes. This tea can be steeped twice. Tip: For a bolder, spicier brew, use more ginger tea.
FOR ICED GINGER TEA: Add the desired amount of ginger tea into a container and pour in boiling water. Let the tea steep and cool down before chilling in the fridge. After 2 hours, the ginger tea is ready. Cold tea lasts in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.

Recommended is approximately 2 teaspoons for every 8 oz of water but we encourage to experiment with the tea-to-water ratio to match your preference.
Shogacha is caffeine-free and more of the bold spicy profile is extracted with longer steeping.
How many times can this tea be re-steeped and how many servings or cup of tea can this whole tea tin (60g) make?
You can re-steep it up to 2 times depending on your taste preference. Get ~30 cups from one tea tin, potentially more since it can be resteeped.
