It all began in 2002 with the purchase of our Genesee Street location. The potential not only in this location but the whole area was seen by our founder & president, Frank Elias.

In 2005, a roaster was moved into this building with a goal to start sourcing and roasting the world's highest quality coffee. This was transformed over time into a busy and bustling cafe with the vision of partner, Heather Elias.

Using only the highest quality single origins, we hand-select the coffees used in our blends to achieve the ideal flavor profile. A bright and crisp original blend of coffees that we find so comforting and inviting, we called it our House Blend.

Utica Coffee Roasting has become so much more than that initial Genesee Street location. With cafes in Utica & Clinton, our world-class roasting & education center on Hotel Street, and production facility in a historical freight house in Utica; it's safe to say that the Utica Coffee brand has grown to be a staple of our community.

All of our blends are made from an original blend of 100% of the finest, hand-selected Arabica coffee beans. They are then expertly roasted to a medium-roast in small batches to ensure quality in each cup.
