What is Small Batch Coffee?

Small batch refers to coffee roasted in limited quantities, prioritizing quality control and flavor consistency. Roasting in small batches (under 50 pounds at a time) allows the roaster to closely monitor each step of the roasting process, from temperature to timing. Each batch is roasted to perfection, with focus on bringing out the unique flavor profile of the beans.

Well-Bean financially supports "New Song MIssion Nicaragua" a wonderful non-profit working to feed children in the community of Chichigalpa. New Song also provides necessary medical and dental care for those in need. They are focused on community development, education, and fixing health challenges to those in need.

Hand-picked is quite different than most mass cultivated coffee through machine harvesting. Only bright red, ripe cherries are chosen. Machines grab all beans. Mixing underripe and overripe cherries reduces quality and ultimate taste.

Small Batch Coffee is an important distinction when choosing coffee. Many large roasteries can roast up to 1000 pounds at a time. Small batch means roasting 50 pounds or less at a time to ensure consistent roast profiles and quality coffee every time.
