Yamasan Japanese Tea Varieties
Mugicha is a tea made from roasted barley, and is loved by many people in Japan as an everyday tea. It has roasty, subtle sweetness, and a refreshing taste that can be enjoyed chilled in the summer and warm in the winter.
It is caffeine-free and contains little tannin, which is the source of bitterness, making it safe for consumption by people of all ages, from children to adults.
This barley tea is made with six-row barley, giving it a refreshing flavor with a pronounced roasted aroma.
Our barley tea has a refreshing, nutty aroma and a mild flavor that goes well with a variety of meals.
It is refreshing when served chilled, and has a sweeter, more mellow taste when served hot.
One tea bag makes 25 fl oz (750ml) of tea, which is about 3 cups of tea per bag, making it a great value.
